@bunzos71 agreed. These (and the coyote/road runner ones) were the segments I most looked forward to (as a child in the 60s/70s) of the bugs bunny/road runner hour. It was funny how they acted so friendly toward each other when they were clocking in/out for the day, but like enemies “on the job” lol. def. funny!!!

@boru25 Jones loved the Roadrunner cartoons because they were “cheaters.” With the tight budgets and assembly-line procedures, he could put out one at minimal time and under budget, and put some of the time and budget on things like “What’s Opera, Doc?” He’s probably killing two birds with one stone: the duplication of the Coyote in the Wolf is lower-budget _and_ funny.

I wonder did Chuck Jones get lazy in the design of Ralph the wolf 9cause he ‘s just Wile E with a red nose and talks all the time) or did he just love that design so much that he had to do it twice.

Classic Wile E sketch at 3:55.

Thank you for posting this! I was trying to remember this cartoon the other day, ‘the one where the dog & his natural enemy “clock-in” each day for their “job”…?’ TOO FUNNY.
