The sheltered reality cats (WIP READ DESCRIPTION)
I made a video similar to this about animal cruelty, but after reading some articles sent to be by a friend who works in an I had a stinging pain in my heart to make a video again. THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS MEANING OVER TIME IT MAY BE EDITED, ADJUSTED OR REWORKED. TYPOS AND MISPRINTS WILL BE FIXED IN THE FINAL VIDEO VERSION. In this rough economy animal shelters are becoming swamped with animals. Many people have lost their job or are currently unepmployed and therefore they are

i want to adopt a couple cats, but my family is allergic. what i notice is that mostly its the kittens that get adopted, and it always makes me want to adopt their mothers.

The cruel things people do to animals D:

My kitten came from an animal shelter! I seen so many adult cats that would have made wonderful cats, but kittens are easier to train. I know that sounds bad, but I own dogs, too, and wanted one that was going to be able to grow to get used to them. The cats looked healthy, but a lot of the kittens looked sickly because they were made to sleep in their own litter boxes. Something I had to get mine out of doing. He almost died of Feline Distemper too, so shelters are bad for diseases too.

@CraZYhEaRTs555 Many of the crazy animal people are at fault for this. They collect animals and collect them, not realizing when they’ve reached their limit.Their heart is in the right place, but in the end, they become so driven to take care of more of them that they fail the ones they have.
Instead, you should donate to shelters, do what you can to capture and spay local feral cats, and cherish the furbabies you have.

I recently started volunteering at a local animal shelter myself (I help mostly with the cats) and seeing how sweet and loving all of them are, just the thought of any of them being put down makes me want to break down into tears :C

@Midnafreakable lol well, my name isn’t Sarah McLachlan but sorry if this ruined your day =/

Another bad thing about shelters is a lot of times they don’t advertize just how many cats/kittens they have. You can look on their web page and see like two or three. Go there and they got a whole room full of mewing cute faces. My sister offered to go in, take pictures and post them up herself, since they said they didn’t have the time. They told her no. NO?! They have volunteers work every day, but when one offers to help them get rid of their animals, they say no? Yeah. True story.

ScarlingRagdoll February 3, 2012 at 7:50 am

@ForeverBlueChild That is in the second half ^^

Reality is such a harsh place to live in… Luckily all my cats and neutered, and are indoor cats as well.
I don’t know how the statistics are here in Sweden, but I think they are not as horrible… at least I hope so.
This video is beautiful.

I’m proud to say we adopted a shelter cat and she’s now a very lazy fat thing. but I wish more people would adopt shelter cats, it’s not fair that so many cats get killed because some people just don’t care to neuter their animals to prevent more kittens, to prevent more animals being neglected and put into shelters.
