Shes my favorite character! She reminds me a lot of Bette Davis in What Ever Happen to Baby Jane, especially when she tries to act like when she was young. I saw this when i was in 6th grade and fell in love!

If you look in the first time Grizabella shows up Demeter goes to touch her, but flinches away. In teh backround afterwards Bombalurina comforts her. I think Bomba knows that Griz upsets Demeter and she’s only trying to keep her emotionally safe.
